Phuket Pictures [1]

This was M's Guesthouse, our residence in Phuket. It was a little tricky to find late at night in the rain, but it turned out to be a really good guesthouse for us. Huge rooms, too!

Our elephant trek people picked us up in what was basically a pickup truck with a tent on top, but it was really nice to not be closed in and be able to see the country as we drove out of the city.

Before elephant trekking, we saw a small show. This is the elephant giving the trainer a massage.

We also had the opportunity to take pictures with the elephants after the show. This is Carlanna Cunningham, Bart Stout, me, and Kristen Kerns.

Marianna and me on an elephant! I had been wanting to do this for a long time, and it was so much fun. We trekked it through the jungle of Thailand, and it was amazing.

As you can see, we had great views from the top of the mountain.

This is me at the Bavarian Oktoberfest to watch the first soccer game of the World Cup. Thai waiters dressed in German lederhosen ... culture clash!
